Assistant Farm Manager at Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited – Awe

Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited is recruiting an Assistant Farm Manager in Awe, Oyo State, to coordinate poultry production, biosecurity, staff and flock performance.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and daily supervision of breeder, broiler or layer farm operations.
• Maintain biosecurity, workplace safety, bird health and animal welfare standards.
• Review flock indicators including feed consumption, weight, mortality, egg output, fertility and hatchability as applicable.
• Supervise farm attendants and other operations personnel.
• Coordinate feeding, watering, vaccination, medication and environmental controls.
• Monitor use of feed, medicines and supplies to reduce waste and maintain stock records.
• Help implement production plans and achieve performance objectives.
• Prepare production, vaccination, inventory and mortality records and management reports.
• Identify productivity challenges, oversee farm maintenance and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to staff development and collaborate with veterinarians, laboratory and maintenance teams.

Qualifications and experience

• BSc or HND in Animal Science, Animal Production, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine or a related field.
• Five to seven years of experience in commercial poultry production, including practical management of breeder, broiler or layer operations.
• Proven farm supervision and production coordination experience.
• Additional professional certification is an advantage.

• Good knowledge of poultry husbandry, nutrition, vaccination, disease prevention and biosecurity.
• Ability to interpret farm data and use Microsoft Office.
