Business Consultant at Ren San & Co. – Abuja (FCT)

Ren San & Co. is recruiting a full-time Business Consultant in Abuja to develop research-led advisory work, professional consulting documents and practical recommendations for clients across sectors.

The position follows a hybrid schedule of three on-site days and two remote days each week.

Research and advisory delivery

• Research markets, sectors, policies, regulations and competitors; analyse quantitative and qualitative findings.
• Prepare research reports, briefing notes, insight papers, stakeholder maps and organisational assessments.
• Support discovery meetings, client workshops, consultations and consulting assignments.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for strategy, governance, organisational improvement and operational change.

Business documentation and project support

• Develop concept notes, proposals, business cases, feasibility studies and project frameworks.
• Draft strategic and operational plans, policies, manuals, procedures, work plans and implementation roadmaps.
• Coordinate project milestones, schedules, records and progress reports, and liaise with clients and delivery partners.
• Support client relationship management, onboarding, business development and professional presentations.
• Maintain knowledge resources, research databases, consulting templates and thought-leadership materials.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Management, Social Sciences, International Development, Law, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least five years’ relevant experience in consulting, advisory services, research, project management, business support, organisational development or related work.
• Demonstrated experience producing client-ready concept notes, proposals, business cases, strategic plans, feasibility studies, reports, policies or manuals.
• Experience working with businesses, NGOs, foundations, development partners, government institutions or consulting firms is desirable.
• A master’s degree or relevant professional certification is advantageous.

Skills and candidate profile

• Excellent research, analytical, business writing, reporting and proposal development skills, including grant-writing knowledge.
• Strong project coordination, stakeholder engagement, presentation and strategic problem-solving ability.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Workspace proficiency.
• Organisation, attention to detail, sound judgement, independence and capacity to meet demanding deadlines.
• The stated ideal-candidate age range is 28–35 years, with a demonstrated track record of quality consulting deliverables.

Performance is assessed through deliverable quality, timely execution, client satisfaction, research and proposal quality, business development contributions and reliable documentation.
