Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at an Undisclosed Company via Protege Management – Abuja

An organisation in the leasing industry is recruiting a Chief Financial Officer in Abuja through Protégé Management. Reporting to the CEO and Board, the CFO will oversee financial strategy, capital management, controls and performance across the group.

Financial leadership and reporting

• Build scalable accounting systems covering receivables, payables and payroll.
• Oversee group accounts and consolidated financial statements under the applicable financial reporting frameworks.
• Report financial performance to management, investors and regulators and monitor working capital and liquidity.
• Lead budgeting, forecasts, scenario analysis, financial models and performance measurement.
• Advise the CEO and Board on investment decisions, group strategy and risk.

Funding, compliance and controls

• Lead fundraising, negotiate investor and lender terms and evaluate financing options, partnerships and acquisitions.
• Coordinate taxation, regulatory compliance, statutory audits and internal-control frameworks.
• Monitor cash-flow coverage, funding costs, financial leakages and operating efficiency.
• Oversee ERP and financial-management improvements and working-capital performance.

People management and performance

• Lead and mentor finance staff across subsidiaries, establishing clear performance standards.
• Track timely financial statements, audits, tax compliance, capital raised and finance-team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Professional certification in ICAN, ACCA, CFA or CPA is required.
• At least 12 years’ progressive financial leadership experience, including five or more years as a CFO or Finance Director in a group structure.
• Strong financial reporting, tax, audit, IFRS, risk and regulatory experience.
• Evidence of capital raising, investor and bank relations, financial strategy and senior team leadership.
