Civil Engineer at Engineering Automation Technology Limited – Akwa Ibom

Engineering Automation Technology Limited is recruiting a Civil Engineer for work in Akwa Ibom State. The position oversees site-based civil and structural activities, coordinates work crews and subcontractors, and maintains delivery, quality and safety standards on industrial construction projects.

Key duties

• Direct earthworks, excavations, structural concrete and associated civil construction in line with drawings, specifications, budgets and programmes.
• Assign tasks to civil tradespeople and interpret structural drawings, reinforcement layouts, architectural plans and survey information.
• Plan construction sequences, oversee subcontractors and coordinate resolution of design clashes.
• Enforce safe working practices, toolbox talks, job safety analyses and permits for excavations and work at height.
• Check temporary works, ground compaction, concrete testing and curing, and the alignment of foundations, columns and anchor bolts.
• Verify incoming materials and quality certificates, track progress, request materials and maintain accurate reports and as-built records.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Welding and Fabrication Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least five years’ relevant experience in oil and gas construction, fabrication, maintenance, EPCIC or industrial projects, including five years in supervision.
• Experience covering equipment and piping installation, welding, offshore or onshore maintenance, shutdowns and brownfield work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software and strong knowledge of safety, site supervision and quality control.
