Regional Solar Installation & Maintenance Technician at Sun King – Uyo

Sun King is recruiting a Regional Solar Installation & Maintenance Technician in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The position provides technical support for solar inverter installations and service operations across the assigned region.

Installation and technical service

• Install, commission, diagnose and repair solar inverter systems in line with company standards and safety procedures.
• Resolve complex customer equipment issues and maintain professional service relationships.
• Use remote monitoring systems to track performance, investigate problems and arrange preventive maintenance.
• Report system uptime, performance trends and recurring fault codes to support product and service improvements.

Quality assurance and installer network

• Audit installations remotely and on site against technical and safety checklists.
• Provide findings, corrective actions and follow-up on installation quality issues.
• Identify, onboard, train and support third-party installers within the assigned territory.
• Provide technical direction and review installer performance.
• Document service activities, audits and spare-part usage and report results to the After-Sales Manager.
• Control spare parts, tools and equipment and uphold health, safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or another relevant discipline.
• At least four years’ experience in after-sales technical support within consumer electronics, solar inverters or mobile devices.
• Detailed knowledge of inverter installation, maintenance and fault diagnosis, together with solar PV systems, electrical wiring standards and power electronics.
• Confidence using diagnostic tools, service software and remote monitoring platforms.
• Strong communication, customer support and technical explanation skills.
• Calm judgement under pressure, careful organisation and attention to detail.
