Deputy Head of Finance at Dangote Group – Gboko and Okpella

Dangote Group is recruiting a Deputy Head of Finance to support financial planning, controls and reporting across its Gboko and Okpella operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Finance in developing finance strategy and controlling financial performance.
• Oversee reliable financial statements, management reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and guidance for strategic and operational decisions.
• Coordinate financial planning, variance investigation and corrective cost-control measures.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, applicable financial regulations and internal controls.
• Support relationships with auditors, tax authorities and other finance stakeholders.
• Mentor the finance team and implement risk-management measures.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least ten years of financial management experience, including five years in a leadership position.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA are highly desirable.
• Strong accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proficiency with financial software and enterprise resource planning systems, ideally SAP.
• Analytical judgement, people management, communication and ability to manage competing priorities.
