Facility Manager at VAVA Project – Victoria Island, Lagos

VAVA Project is recruiting a full-time Facility Manager in Victoria Island, Lagos. The role sits within Facilities and Administration and reports to management or the Head of Administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, maintenance and safety across company facilities and properties.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance for buildings, electrical installations, plumbing, air conditioning, generators, water systems, lifts and fire safety equipment.
• Inspect facilities, identify defects and hazards, and arrange repairs, installations and improvements.
• Coordinate maintenance employees, cleaners, security personnel, contractors, vendors and specialist service providers.
• Maintain asset, warranty, inspection, maintenance and service-contract records.
• Track utilities, fuel consumption and operating costs, support budgets and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Maintain health, safety, fire and environmental compliance, and implement emergency response and continuity procedures.
• Manage urgent breakdowns, spare parts and maintenance schedules, and work with HR, Finance, Procurement and other departments.
• Prepare management reports on incidents, repairs, expenditure, performance and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Facility Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in facilities, property management, building operations or maintenance.
• Practical knowledge of building services, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water and generator systems.
• Experience supervising service providers, planning maintenance, controlling costs, budgeting and procurement.
• Understanding of occupational safety, fire precautions, emergency procedures and compliance.
• Strong organisation, reporting, negotiation, Microsoft Office, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant facilities, project management or health and safety certification is an advantage.
