An employer is recruiting a Field Sales Officer – Heavy-Duty Diesel Generators in Ikeja, Lagos State. Terawork is managing recruitment for the role, which focuses on diesel generator sales and customer development.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect for new generator customers and develop opportunities through field visits.
• Explain heavy-duty diesel generators, related solutions and after-sales services to prospects.
• Prepare quotations, agree commercial terms and convert enquiries into confirmed sales.
• Develop existing accounts, follow up on leads and orders, and maintain customer relationships.
• Collaborate with technical colleagues to understand customers’ power requirements.
• Track market developments and competitors, work towards sales targets, and maintain accurate CRM records and activity reports.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, industry exhibitions and events.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or a related field.
• Three to five years in sales or business development, preferably in generators, power solutions, industrial equipment or engineering.
• Evidence of reaching sales targets and strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication, Microsoft Office and CRM proficiency.
