Head of Business Development (Tech Startup/ IT Consulting) at an Undisclosed Company via Proten International – 9th Mile, Enugu

A technology consulting company is recruiting a full-time, on-site Head of Business Development at 9th Mile, Enugu, through Proten International. The role oversees sales, pre-sales, account management and growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop commercially sustainable business-development plans covering revenue, market expansion and profitability.
• Lead sales teams, maintain enterprise pipelines and secure high-value technology and digital transformation clients.
• Oversee solution proposals, presentations, pre-sales and responses to requests for proposals.
• Establish relationships with executive decision-makers, partners and enterprise customers.
• Identify new market segments and opportunities for long-term recurring revenue.
• Implement account-management approaches that increase customer retention, upselling and cross-selling.
• Analyse competitors and markets, represent the business at industry events and develop staff capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• At least eight years in business development, enterprise sales or account management.
• Substantial experience within a technology startup, IT consultancy, software business or technology services company is essential.
• Demonstrated commercial growth, high-value contract negotiation, enterprise pre-sales, partnership and leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of IT solutions, software services and digital transformation markets.
• Excellent negotiation, strategic analysis, communication and team-management ability; an MBA is an advantage.
