Internal Auditor at E-Terra Technologies Limited – Surulere

E-Terra Technologies Limited is recruiting a full-time Internal Auditor in Surulere, Lagos to review financial, operational, regulatory and environmental controls across its e-waste and recycling operations.

Audit planning and financial controls

• Develop a risk-based internal audit programme and assess compliance with approved procedures and governance requirements.
• Audit transactions, bank reconciliations, cash, payables, receivables, payroll, budgets and authorisation controls.
• Review procurement, vendor selection, purchase orders, contracts and supplier payments for integrity and accountability.
• Prepare evidence-based work papers and identify weaknesses in financial reporting, cost controls and fraud prevention.

Inventory, operations and revenue assurance

• Verify inventory, recovered materials, assets, warehouse movements, weighbridge records, dispatch documents and stock reconciliations.
• Review revenue capture, invoicing, pricing, customer collections and commercial records to identify revenue leakage.
• Assess operational adherence to environmental permits, waste handling, logistics, safety and statutory requirements.
• Investigate control exceptions, suspected fraud and unexplained losses when authorised, preserving evidence and confidentiality.

Reporting and governance

• Prepare audit reports with risks, findings, corrective actions, owners and deadlines.
• Maintain an audit issues register, follow up remediation and escalate unresolved high-risk matters.
• Protect audit independence and confidentiality, and advise on control improvements without assuming management responsibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least three to five years of experience in internal/external audit, financial control, risk management or compliance.
• Relevant professional qualifications or study towards ICAN, ACCA, ANAN or IIA credentials is an advantage.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit methods, governance, financial reporting, fraud risks, Excel and other audit software.
• Operational experience in manufacturing, recycling, logistics, inventory or environmentally regulated activities is beneficial.
