Internal Control Officer at TQ Farms Nigeria Limited – Ijebu-North, Ogun

TQ Farms Nigeria Limited is hiring an Internal Control Officer in Ijebu-North, Ogun State, to report to the Financial Controller and strengthen controls across farms, offices and processing facilities.

Monitoring, audit and risk

• Review compliance with authorised policies, budgets, transactions and financial procedures.
• Inspect cash handling, expenses, payment approvals and supporting records.
• Identify fraud, loss, waste and control weaknesses, recommend corrections and monitor follow-through.
• Support external audits, queries and regular management reporting.

Procurement and inventory

• Verify purchasing requisitions, quotations and approval thresholds, matching purchase orders, receipts and supplier invoices.
• Investigate pricing exceptions and safeguard separation of purchasing and payment duties.
• Conduct physical stock checks and monitor receipts, internal transfers, issues, shortages, expiry and damage.

Policies and records

• Support control policies and procedures, review payroll and statutory remittances, and maintain audit records.
• Prepare reports, guide staff and promote accountability and sound documentation.

Requirements and working conditions

• HND or degree in Accounting, Audit, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.
• Three to five years’ relevant experience in control, audit or accounting.
• Knowledge of procurement, stock control, audit procedures and internal financial controls.
• Microsoft Excel, reporting, investigative and problem-solving skills; accounting software experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently across several sites while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
• ICAN/ANAN membership or progress and agricultural-industry experience are advantages.

Working days: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
