Resident School Nurse at TAAS Group of Schools – Omi-Apata, Ibadan

TAAS Group of Schools is recruiting a full-time Resident School Nurse in Omi-Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State, to provide healthcare support, first aid and medical monitoring for pupils, boarding students and staff.

School nursing responsibilities

• Provide first aid, basic nursing support and initial assessments for illnesses and injuries.
• Monitor sick pupils, including boarders, and arrange hospital referrals where necessary.
• Respond to school medical emergencies and authorised out-of-hours admissions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and administer prescribed medication appropriately.
• Promote infection prevention, health awareness, hygiene and preventive care.
• Maintain first-aid supplies and medical equipment, deliver health education and report significant incidents.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, Registered Community Nurse or comparable recognised nursing qualification.
• Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria registration and a current practising licence are an advantage.
• Relevant clinical experience; school or paediatric nursing background is advantageous.
• First-aid and Basic Life Support training is an advantage.
• Compassion, emergency response, accurate records and communication skills.
