Resident Site Engineering Superintendent at SPIE Oil & Gas Services – Bonny, Rivers

SPIE Oil & Gas Services is recruiting a Resident Site Engineering Superintendent in Bonny, Rivers State. The RSES-D represents the project team on site and oversees construction activities, safety and operational interfaces.

Site leadership and coordination

• Exercise delegated site authority and coordinate contractors and multidisciplinary teams against agreed project performance and schedule objectives.
• Manage simultaneous construction, commissioning and production activities, including onshore pipeline and shore-pull interfaces.
• Coordinate with BNAG RSES and other relevant operators, serving as the principal site contact for contractors and the Project Manager’s representative.
• Identify risks, enforce permit-to-work controls, suspend unsafe activities and support emergency-response coordination.
• Oversee temporary construction camp safety, security and personnel-on-board controls, along with community and security assessments.
• Enforce the company’s HSE standards, worksite Golden Rules, contractor controls and environmental-management requirements under ISO 14001.
• Report site anomalies, with a minimum target of 25 anomaly reports per year, and encourage workforce reporting.
• Verify resource and equipment suitability, investigate emerging issues and request corrective action while escalating proposed contractual variations for approval.
• Track work progress, manpower and hours, issue weekly package reports and verify contractors’ reporting.
• Prepare final quality and schedule assessments and ensure the final documentation dossier is complete.

Experience and capabilities

• At least fifteen years of professional experience and extensive knowledge of multidisciplinary construction activities.
• Proven involvement in brownfield work and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
• Strong HSE leadership and authority, with knowledge of engineering documentation and progress reporting.
• Effective interface management, coordination and assessment of operational and construction risks.
