Bourbon Interoil Nigeria Limited has an opening for an Officer of the Watch (OOW) Deck in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The position involves safe navigation, vessel operations, deck supervision and compliance with marine procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and navigate the vessel, manage manoeuvres and respond to emergencies.
- Supervise the transfer of passengers and cargo.
- Oversee cleanliness, tidiness and routine vessel maintenance.
- Apply company and client policies, familiarise crew with procedures and organise emergency drills.
- Support onboard crew management, training and safe bridge manning.
- Report technical and operational incidents to management.
- Prepare required daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Maintain attention to human safety, asset protection and pollution prevention.
Requirements
- OOW Deck Certificate of Competency, NCV or Unlimited.
- Applicable STCW certifications.
- At least two years’ experience as a Deck Officer or Surfer Pilot.
