Senior Fractional Azure Cloud Security / DevSecOps Engineer at Borderlesshr – Remote (Nigeria)
Borderlesshr is recruiting a part-time, fractional Senior Azure Cloud Security / DevSecOps Engineer for a remote assignment. The engineer will improve Azure security controls and collaborate with a DevOps team in India and the founder, ideally during US business hours.
Initial Duration: A few months, with the possibility of extension depending on progress and mutual fit
Working Arrangement: Remote and flexible, with a preference for availability during US business hours.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Fractional Azure Cloud Security / DevSecOps Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Entra ID (IAM/PIM) to strengthen our platform’s security posture and drive the implementation of security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on Security Implementation: Proactively identify security gaps, implement remediation measures, optimize configurations, and establish robust security best practices across our Azure environment.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with our DevOps team in India, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance while actively collaborating on security improvements and implementation.
- Founder-Level Engagement: Work directly with the Founder to prioritize security initiatives, define actionable improvement plans, and drive execution, preferably during US business hours.
- Azure Security Enhancement: Strengthen the platform’s overall security posture, with particular focus on identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PIM), infrastructure security, and DevSecOps practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Review existing security configurations, recommend improvements, and implement scalable security solutions aligned with industry best practices.
