ATAfrica is recruiting a AI and ML Developer / Engineer in Nigeria. The role has a hybrid work arrangement.

Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated AI and ML Developer/Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software development, with specific experience in working with OpenAI and generative models.

As an AI and ML Developer/Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible in AI research and application.

You will have the following responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and implement AI/ML solutions leveraging OpenAI’s cutting-edge models and generative models.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms, with a focus on generative models for various applications including natural language processing, computer vision, and more.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code to support AI/ML workflows and applications.
• Conduct experiments and research to advance the state-of-the-art in AI and machine learning, with a focus on generative modeling techniques.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and ML research, particularly in the areas of OpenAI and generative models, and integrate relevant findings into our projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and iterate on solutions to meet business needs.

Must have the following

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in frameworks such as TensorFlow Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras or TensorFlow.
• Deep understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms, particularly in the areas of generative modeling and deep learning.
• Experience working with OpenAI’s APIs and models, such as GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) models.
• Familiarity with generative modeling techniques, including but not limited to variational autoencoders (VAEs), generative adversarial networks (GANs), and autoregressive models.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including version control, testing, and debugging.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a distributed team environment.
