Technical Supervisor at Whitehouse Design Curators – Victoria Island, Lagos

Whitehouse Design Curators is recruiting a Technical Supervisor in Victoria Island, Lagos, to lead technical delivery across real estate development, construction and property projects. Reporting to the Managing Director, the position oversees due diligence, regulatory approvals, project quality, procurement and facilities operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate construction and property-development projects from inception through completion.
• Carry out technical feasibility, site, structural and property-acquisition assessments, including land-title and survey-document reviews.
• Review architecture, engineering, structural and survey designs against applicable standards.
• Coordinate planning permits, building approvals and other statutory documentation with regulatory bodies.
• Track project schedules, budgets, contractors, resources, quality and technical risks, taking corrective action where needed.
• Supervise procurement and facilities managers to maintain effective sourcing, safe operations and compliance.
• Develop technical operating procedures, quality assurance systems and project-governance practices.
• Lead multidisciplinary consultants and internal teams, provide mentoring and prepare reports and recommendations for the Managing Director.
• Maintain compliance with land, building, environmental, health and safety and development-control requirements.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• At least five years’ relevant experience in construction, engineering, real estate development or technical operations, with experience managing multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian land acquisition, title verification, building regulations, statutory permits and development control.
• Experience coordinating architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors and technical, procurement or facilities teams.
• COREN registration is required for engineering professionals; relevant professional-body membership is desirable.
• Project management certification, such as PMP, and a relevant postgraduate qualification are advantages.
• Strong leadership, planning, technical reporting, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, risk management and problem-solving abilities.
