VP, Business Development at an Undisclosed MSP Provider via Alan & Grant – Lekki, Lagos

An Africa-focused managed procurement services provider is hiring a VP, Business Development in Lekki, Lagos, through Alan & Grant. This executive position leads enterprise sales, strategic alliances and commercial expansion across African markets.

Commercial strategy and enterprise sales

• Set and execute the strategy for expanding gross merchandise value and enterprise SaaS revenue.
• Lead complex enterprise sales involving chief executives, procurement leaders, supply-chain directors, international oil companies and major conglomerates.

Partnerships, expansion and leadership

• Develop alliances with ERP providers, systems integrators, financial institutions and professional associations.
• Negotiate partnerships that broaden the digital procurement ecosystem and expand into priority African markets.
• Work with Product, Strategic Sourcing and Customer Success teams to shape offers around procurement needs.
• Recruit, mentor and direct the commercial team; establish KPIs, sales processes, forecasts and incentives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least ten years in senior commercial leadership within enterprise SaaS, e-procurement, fintech, supply-chain technology or enterprise IT.
• A record of concluding major enterprise software contracts and scaling recurring revenue or GMV.
• Detailed understanding of source-to-pay processes, ERP platforms such as SAP and Oracle, and corporate purchasing in Africa.
• Strong executive-level negotiation, communication and stakeholder management.
