Waiter / Waitress (Server) at Victoria Waterfront Hotel & Resorts – Ibeju-Lekki
Victoria Waterfront Hotel & Resorts is recruiting a Waiter / Waitress for its front-of-house dining team in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, reporting to the Restaurant Manager or Shift Supervisor.
Guest service and order management
- Welcome and seat guests, present menus, explain specials and answer questions about meals, ingredients and allergens.
- Recommend food and beverage combinations and take accurate orders using point-of-sale systems, tablets or order pads.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and check that the correct items and presentation reach each table.
Dining-area standards and teamwork
- Prepare tables with clean linen, cutlery, glassware and condiments and reset them between guests.
- Clear used dishes and maintain clean, safe dining spaces and service stations in line with hygiene standards.
- Prepare accurate bills, process payments and issue receipts or change.
- Communicate with kitchen and bar colleagues about guest requests, timing and allergies.
- Handle routine complaints professionally, escalating when necessary, and support other service-team duties.
Qualifications
- OND or HND qualification.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- A welcoming manner, guest-service focus and effective communication.
