Waitress at a Luxury Hotel via Domeo Resources International – Aba, Abia State

A luxury hotel is recruiting a full-time Waitress in Aba, Abia State through Domeo Resources International. The role provides attentive food and beverage service and supports consistent dining standards.

Guest service and orders

• Welcome guests, present menus and make appropriate food and beverage recommendations.
• Record dietary restrictions and accurate orders using the POS system; coordinate with the kitchen and bar.
• Serve meals, beverages and accompaniments promptly, clear tables and respond to guest requests.
• Handle service concerns professionally, escalate complex complaints and help maintain guest satisfaction.
• Promote appropriate menu items, specials and other available offerings.

Service, billing and safety

• Prepare, clean and stock tables and service areas before and after shifts.
• Maintain product knowledge, including allergens, drinks, menus and service etiquette.
• Process bills and approved payment methods correctly, recording discounts and discrepancies.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, HACCP and occupational-safety procedures.
• Care for service equipment, reduce breakage, report defects and support stock checks.
• Coordinate with restaurant, kitchen, bar, host and cashier teams, assist at events and record shift handovers.

Requirements

• National Diploma, HND or degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism or related study; SSCE candidates with relevant luxury hospitality experience may be considered.
• Two to three years of waiter or waitress experience in a reputable hotel, fine-dining venue or similar environment; luxury-hotel experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of fine dining, food and beverage service, POS, hygiene and customer relations.
• Strong communication, grooming, time management, teamwork and attention to detail.
• Food safety, HACCP, customer service, responsible alcohol service or first-aid certifications are advantageous.
