Waitress at DISTRICT10 – Abuja

DISTRICT10 is recruiting a full-time Waitress for its Food and Beverage and Restaurant Operations team in Abuja. Reporting to the Restaurant Supervisor or Manager, the role focuses on attentive table service and a welcoming dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive guests courteously, assist with seating and explain menus, specials and drinks.
• Record food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar colleagues.
• Serve correct orders promptly, check guest satisfaction and escalate unresolved complaints.
• Prepare and clean tables and dining spaces in line with hygiene and presentation standards.
• Handle bills and payments when assigned, recommend available offers and work closely with the restaurant team.
• Report guest feedback, damage, shortages and service problems to management, while following operational procedures.

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum SSCE qualification; further qualifications are an advantage.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication, service skills and problem-solving ability.
• Good organisation, professional grooming and hygiene, honesty, punctuality and ability to manage busy shifts.
• Availability for flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Performance and professional conduct

Performance is assessed through guest feedback, order accuracy, service speed, attendance, cleanliness, teamwork, upselling, compliance and complaint resolution.

Staff must treat guests respectfully, avoid arguments, use mobile phones during duty only with authorisation, keep food and drink out of service areas, remain at assigned posts unless permitted to leave and safeguard guest belongings and restaurant property.
