Accountant at Design Union – Lekki, Lagos

Design Union is recruiting a full-time Accountant in Lekki, Lagos, to maintain accounting records and support financial reporting, regulatory compliance and management planning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate ledgers, process transactions and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank, vendor and intercompany accounts regularly.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including profit-and-loss reports and balance sheets.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax and corporate-tax filings.
• Provide auditors with the necessary records, explanations and schedules.
• Support budgets, forecasting, variance analysis and cash-flow monitoring.

Qualifications and experience

• B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance with a first-class or second-class upper degree.
• ACA-qualified accountant with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification accounting experience.
• Proficiency in SAGE or SAP and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
