Android Engineer II at Cavista Technologies – Ilupeju, Lagos (Hybrid)
Cavista Technologies is seeking an Android Engineer II for a hybrid role in Ilupeju, Lagos, to develop secure, scalable mobile applications supporting payments, digital wallets and other financial services.
Engineering responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Design and backend teams to scope, architect and deliver mobile banking and financial product features.
- Guide Android architecture, security, scalability, performance and maintainability decisions.
- Build mobile experiences for payments, transaction processing, wallets, authentication and identity verification.
- Integrate payment gateways, banking platforms, third-party APIs and backend services.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers and improve reusable libraries, documentation and technical standards.
- Apply secure storage, encryption, token authentication and anti-fraud controls, taking account of PCI-DSS and the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
- Evaluate emerging Android technologies and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least five years of fintech experience.
- Strong Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Components and Coroutines skills.
- Experience with MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture and modular Android design.
- Practical work on payments, wallets, KYC, transaction systems, financial APIs or banking applications.
- Experience publishing Android apps on Google Play and applying unit, integration and UI tests.
- Strong analytical, collaboration and communication skills.
