Business Development Executive (Laboratory) at Katchey Company Limited – Ikeja

Katchey Company Limited is recruiting a full-time Business Development Executive (Laboratory) in Ikeja, Lagos, to develop customer relationships and sales of laboratory testing services.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client testing needs and recommend suitable laboratory services in collaboration with laboratory and technical teams.
• Develop and convert business opportunities, maintain a sales pipeline and build long-term customer relationships.
• Support retention, account growth, cross-selling and upselling, and prepare and negotiate quotations, proposals, contracts and commercial terms.
• Research markets and new sectors, monitor sales and customer trends, and prepare forecasts, dashboards and management reports.
• Take part in client meetings, presentations, events, tenders and strategic business-development activities.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Upper in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Three to five years of proven business development, technical or scientific sales, laboratory services, pharmaceutical/industrial sales or related experience.
• A record of customer acquisition, negotiation, account management and retention, including relevant sales or marketing of laboratory reagents and testing services.
• Good knowledge of laboratory techniques, analytical methods, testing parameters and operations.
• Familiarity with HPLC, GC/GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, AAS, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, UV-Vis, proximate analysis, microbiological and physicochemical testing is advantageous.

Skills

• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving abilities and commercial awareness.
• Ability to turn technical knowledge into business opportunities, work independently, meet targets and manage several client relationships.
• Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency, accurate report writing and documentation.
• Attention to detail, effective multitasking and time management, adaptability, initiative and willingness to learn new concepts.
