High Voltage Engineer (Bess & Power Distribution) at Power Ark Infrastructure Limited – Lagos

Power Ark Infrastructure Limited is recruiting a full-time High Voltage Engineer (BESS & Power Distribution) in Lagos for installation, integration, commissioning and maintenance work.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and commission high-voltage battery energy storage systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Work on transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protection devices and distribution systems within applicable safety authorisations.
• Integrate solar PV, battery storage, inverters and distribution infrastructure, and configure and troubleshoot ATS, STS, EMS, BMS and power-conversion systems.
• Carry out load assessments, cable sizing, fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance, and interpret drawings, single-line diagrams and protection schemes.
• Follow electrical safety standards, approved designs and manufacturer specifications, and prepare technical, testing, commissioning and maintenance reports.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is mandatory.
• At least five years of relevant hands-on electrical engineering experience, with practical high-voltage BESS and medium/high-voltage distribution experience.
• Strong knowledge of transformers, switchgear, protection systems, electrical testing and commissioning, including 11kV/33kV distribution.
• Experience with industrial solar PV and large-scale storage installations, lithium batteries, BMS, EMS, ATS and STS.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex faults independently and apply high-voltage safety procedures.
• COREN registration and relevant high-voltage safety or equipment certifications are advantages.
