Business Development Manager at an Undisclosed Pharmaceutical Technology Company via HRLeverage – Lagos Island, Lagos

A pharmaceutical technology and credit-infrastructure company is hiring a full-time Business Development Manager for Lagos Island through HRLeverage Africa. The position focuses on acquiring customers and increasing use of the employer’s technology products and credit services among pharmacy businesses in Lagos Island.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers and other prospective customers.
• Build relationships with healthcare-business owners and decision-makers.
• Introduce the company’s technology and credit products, negotiate sales and work towards monthly targets.
• Conduct field visits, maintain a sales pipeline and follow up with prospects through account activation.
• Monitor customer activity and maintain timely, accurate sales records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; Pharmacy, Business or Marketing is advantageous.
• Three to five years of B2B field sales experience, including at least two years selling to pharmacies, hospitals, FMCG outlets or healthcare distributors.
• Sales experience in trade credit, microfinance or fintech may also be considered.
• Record of achieving at least ₦20 million in monthly sales and acquiring 30 or more accounts each month.
• Fluency in English and Pidgin, with Yoruba required.
• Strong negotiation, communication and customer-management skills and facility with CRM, smartphones and Google Workspace.

Compensation and benefits

Monthly salary: ₦300,000–₦500,000. The package also includes a 1% commission on first-cycle customer disbursements after full repayment, a ₦50,000 monthly bonus on reaching the new-customer target, a company sales vehicle, phone and data support, approved travel allowances and HMO coverage upon confirmation. Repeat orders do not earn the stated first-cycle commission.
