Chief Financial Officer at Smartcity – Lagos

Smartcity is recruiting a Chief Financial Officer in Lagos to lead financial strategy, capital management, treasury, investment decisions, governance and risk.

Responsibilities

• Direct liquidity planning, fundraising, working capital, banking relationships and the company’s capital structure.
• Lead IFRS-compliant reporting, financial controls, budgets, audits and governance processes.
• Advise on business planning, asset valuations, investment appraisal, due diligence and strategic transactions.
• Oversee financial risks, tax planning, regulatory obligations, insurance and asset protection.
• Develop the finance team and manage financial relationships with investors, lenders and the Board.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA, CFA or an equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
• At least 15 years of progressive finance experience, including five years in senior financial leadership.
• Proven finance experience in real estate investment, infrastructure, private equity or hospitality.
• Strong skills in IFRS, capital markets, financial modelling, risk management, negotiation and stakeholder communication.
• An MBA, postgraduate qualification or experience working with international investors, DFIs or multilateral agencies is an advantage.
