Head of Finance at Undisclosed Gaming Company via Human Capital Partners – Lagos

An online sports betting and gaming company in Lagos is recruiting a Head of Finance through Human Capital Partners. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role leads financial strategy, accounting, treasury, controls and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set financial plans, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance priorities.
• Oversee accounting, management reporting, audit preparation and IFRS-compliant financial statements.
• Manage treasury, cash-flow forecasts, bank relationships, payment obligations and liquidity.
• Analyse sportsbook and casino revenues, betting payouts, promotional costs and supplier fees.
• Reconcile player wallets, deposits, withdrawals, payment gateways, settlements and chargebacks.
• Oversee Nigerian tax, statutory reporting, gaming-sector financial obligations and internal controls.
• Lead fraud-risk controls, finance systems improvements and the finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related area.
• Membership of ICAN, ACCA, ACA or another recognised accounting body.
• Eight to ten years’ progressive finance experience, including three to five years in senior finance leadership.
• Strong IFRS, taxation, reporting, budgeting, treasury and financial-control knowledge.
• Experience in sports betting, gaming, fintech, payments or high-volume digital transactions is advantageous.
• Advanced financial analysis, ERP and spreadsheet skills, leadership and confidentiality.
