Accountant at HCER Consulting Limited – Benin

HCER Consulting Limited is recruiting a full-time Accountant in Benin, Edo State, for a hotel-finance position covering financial records, revenue control, reconciliation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete accounting records and reconcile daily transactions across rooms, restaurant, bar, events and other hotel revenue streams.
• Prepare financial reports for management and monitor cash receipts, expenses, banking and POS transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoice checks, collections and approved budgets.
• Support payroll, deductions, taxes, audit documentation and applicable accounting standards.
• Help reconcile stock, food, beverage and operational purchases with other departments.
• Identify financial discrepancies and potential fraud while protecting confidential business information.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Previous accounting experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality business.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, bank and POS reconciliation and basic tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; familiarity with hotel systems is an advantage.
• Numerical accuracy, integrity, attention to detail, independent working and good communication.
• ICAN or ACCA certification is an advantage.
