Head of Market Research via TopHire Africa – Lagos

A financial-markets organisation is recruiting a Head of Market Research in Lagos through TopHire Africa to lead market intelligence, economic and financial analysis and research-backed strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop the market research and intelligence strategy.
• Analyse Nigerian capital markets, private capital, unlisted securities, commercial paper and financial instruments.
• Assess market trends, investor behaviour, liquidity and competition.
• Prepare research reports, sector analyses, market outlooks and board briefings.
• Recommend product, service, pricing and market-development opportunities.
• Monitor regulatory changes, economic indicators and global market trends.
• Maintain research databases, models, dashboards and quality standards.
• Build research partnerships and support product and business-development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics or related field.
• Seven to ten years of financial research, capital markets, investment research or economic analysis experience.
• Strong quantitative analysis, written communication and presentation skills.
• Excel and data-visualisation expertise; financial databases and statistical tools are advantageous.
• Good knowledge of financial markets and investment instruments; advanced degree or professional qualification is a plus.
