Hotel General Manager (Expatriate) at Bolton White Group – Abuja

Bolton White Group is recruiting an experienced Hotel General Manager for its hospitality operations in Abuja. The full-time position leads the hotel’s strategy, commercial performance, guest experience and cross-departmental operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic priorities, business goals and operating standards for the hotel.
• Direct Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Maintenance, Food and Beverage, and Housekeeping teams.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and management reports while overseeing costs, revenue and profitability.
• Maintain excellent guest service, accommodation quality and cleanliness; review feedback and resolve complaints promptly.
• Recruit, develop and assess department heads and senior employees, promoting a professional and supportive workplace culture.
• Oversee marketing, public relations and promotional activity to strengthen occupancy and brand reputation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, legal and regulatory obligations and maintain emergency-response and risk-management plans.
• Manage relationships with owners, investors and key stakeholders, including regular reporting on operational and financial results.
• Identify commercial opportunities, partnerships and market trends that can support growth.
• Introduce efficient systems and processes while maintaining service quality and brand standards.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Ten to fifteen years’ experience in hotel management, including at least five to seven years in senior leadership.
• Demonstrated success in hotel operations, revenue growth and managing large teams across departments.
• Strong strategic leadership, financial management, communication and decision-making skills.
• Guest-focused approach, sound judgement and ability to handle demanding operational conditions.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and knowledge of hospitality-market developments.
