Pastry Chef at an Undisclosed Company via Breezy Digital Solutions – Abuja
A restaurant in Abuja is recruiting a full-time Pastry Chef through Breezy Digital Solutions. The chef will lead the pastry and dessert station, maintain high presentation and food-safety standards, and work with the senior kitchen team on menus and guest service.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily pastry station preparation, stock and service readiness.
- Produce breads, viennoiserie, chocolates, cakes, plated desserts and decorative items to recipe and portion standards.
- Coordinate bake schedules and create special-event desserts and VIP amenities.
- Supervise and train junior pastry staff while collaborating with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
- Inspect ingredients, manage specialised stock, follow FIFO storage and control waste and costs.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and consistent quality during busy service periods.
Requirements
- HND or first degree, preferably in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Food Science or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a fine-dining restaurant, hotel or high-end bakery.
- Strong expertise across bakery, chocolate and sugar work, and plated desserts.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, portion control and kitchen inventory.
- Ability to lead a team and deliver precise work under pressure.
Benefits
- Starting salary of ₦150,000 per month, with accommodation.
