An undisclosed hospitality employer is recruiting a Hotel Manager in Benin, Edo State through HCER Consulting Limited. The manager will oversee hotel operations, staff, guest service and financial performance.

Role overview

The manager will take responsibility for daily service delivery, operational performance, cost control and the guest experience, while reporting regularly to management.

Key responsibilities

• Direct hotel operations across reception, housekeeping, restaurant services and maintenance.
• Supervise staff schedules, conduct, performance and productivity.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and improve customer satisfaction.
• Track occupancy, room bookings, reservations and revenue performance.
• Develop operating procedures that improve service quality and efficiency.
• Control spending, budgets, stock and the use of hotel equipment and supplies.
• Ensure rooms, facilities and communal spaces meet cleanliness, maintenance and safety standards.
• Work with accounting staff to monitor income, costs and financial results.
• Comply with hospitality regulations, health and safety rules and hotel policies.
• Identify ways to raise occupancy and profitability, prepare operational reports and resolve day-to-day challenges.

Qualifications and skills

• Degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in hotel management, hospitality operations or hospitality supervision.
• Strong leadership, staff management, administration and organisational ability.
• Excellent communication, guest service and practical problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of reservations, housekeeping and front-office operations.
• Basic budgeting, revenue-monitoring and cost-control knowledge.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with hotel management software.
• Professionalism, accountability, attention to detail and the ability to handle competing priorities under pressure.
