Internal Control Officer job opportunity is available at Surbpolitan Microfinance Bank (SMB) for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual audit plan of the Bank asapproved including as appropriate any special tasks orprojects requested by Management.
• Plan and carry out regular internal audits to evaluatecompliance with the system of internal controls, assessthe reliability and integrity of informationand compliancewith the Bank’s policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
• Ensure audit and other review findings, observations and recommendations are discussed with respective Unit Heads and agree on a plan of action for improvement.

Experience and qualifications

• A University Degree from a recognized University. An additional qualification/degree in any Finance/Businessrelated discipline will be an added advantage. Microfinance Certification (Issued by CIBN) is essential. Membership of any related professional body is essential.( ICAN, ACCA)
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience spentin Internal Auditing in a Financial Institution Preferably Microfinance Bank
