Live-in Chef at Domeo Resources International – Lekki, Lagos
Domeo Resources International is recruiting a full-time Live-in Chef in Lekki, Lagos, to oversee menu planning, food preparation, culinary quality, hygiene and kitchen staff.
Kitchen and menu operations
- Plan and update menus, develop dishes and maintain consistency in food quality, flavour, portion sizes and presentation.
- Supervise food preparation, ingredient storage, purchasing, stock control, kitchen resources and waste reduction.
- Coordinate budgets and procurement with the relevant teams, and monitor equipment and supply needs.
- Apply food-safety rules, sanitation procedures and HACCP practices; train staff in hygiene and workplace safety.
- Lead cooks, kitchen assistants, stewards and other kitchen staff, allocating work, schedules and development opportunities.
- Work with food and beverage and event teams on catering needs and respond professionally to guest feedback.
Qualifications and personal requirements
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Three to five years’ experience as a Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a reputable hotel or fine-dining establishment.
- Proven menu-planning, kitchen-management and culinary skills; experience in both local and international cuisines is an asset, particularly Eastern cuisine.
- Strong food costing, portion control, culinary creativity, people leadership and communication.
- Knowledge of food safety, storage and hygiene practices; ServSafe, HACCP or similar certification is an advantage.
