Male / Female Cook at Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited – Bonny Island, Rivers
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is seeking a Cook for hotel kitchen operations on Bonny Island, Rivers State. The role covers meal preparation, food safety and support for the Chef.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook approved Nigerian, continental and other meals, maintaining consistent portions, timing and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients safely and comply with kitchen cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene rules.
- Check storage, refrigeration, expiry dates and FIFO stock rotation, avoiding cross-contamination.
- Minimise food wastage, monitor ingredients and report shortages or spoilage.
- Clean and care for kitchen utensils and equipment, and report faults promptly.
- Coordinate with chefs, cooks, kitchen assistants and service staff during daily operations.
- Report kitchen production, food safety concerns, stock discrepancies and maintenance issues at handover.
Requirements
- Practical cooking skills, cleanliness, discipline and the ability to work in a busy hotel kitchen.
- Understanding of food hygiene, preparation, storage and portion control.
- Teamwork, clear communication and reliability.
