Manager, Fraud Risk at Flutterwave – Lekki
Flutterwave is seeking a Manager, Fraud Risk in Lekki, Lagos, to protect its merchant-acquiring and remittance activities against fraud-related losses and payment-partner compliance risks.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute fraud-risk assessment, prevention and mitigation strategies.
- Develop risk policies, controls, assessment models and analytics to identify emerging threats.
- Review transactions and accounts for compliance with fraud management requirements.
- Work with product, compliance, technology, legal and other teams on effective solutions.
- Report incidents, risk indicators and trends to leadership and improve risk processes.
- Develop fraud awareness, accountability, staff training and team collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management or a related field; an advanced degree or FRM, CRM or CFA certification is preferred.
- At least five years in risk management, ideally fraud prevention in fintech or financial services.
- Experience leading people and implementing data-driven risk models.
- Sound knowledge of payments, regulations and card-scheme requirements.
- Strong analytical, strategic, communication and ethical judgement.
