Procurement Manager at MoMo Payment Service Bank – Lagos

MoMo Payment Service Bank is recruiting a Procurement Manager in Lagos to lead end-to-end procurement, optimise costs, ensure quality and supply continuity, and maintain procurement governance and regulatory compliance.

Job Summary

Lead procurement activities across sourcing, contracts, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement, delivering value for money and supply continuity while meeting company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities, from demand identification and sourcing through contracting, supplier management, renewal, and close-out.
• Develop and implement procurement and category strategies aligned with business priorities, demand plans, and budgets.
• Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes to ensure transparent, competitive sourcing outcomes.
• Oversee supplier identification, prequalification, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and contract award.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, favourable commercial terms, service quality, and value for money.
• Analyse spend and markets to identify cost optimisation, demand aggregation, efficiency, and value opportunities.
• Partner with business units to understand procurement needs, forecast demand, and develop sourcing solutions.
• Manage key supplier relationships and performance against SLAs, KPIs, contracts, and service expectations.
• Drive supplier improvement and address material performance problems with stakeholders.
• Oversee contract execution, renewals, variations, expiry management, and supplier governance.
• Identify and mitigate procurement, supply-chain, contractual, and third-party risks.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, delegated authorities, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain procurement documentation, approvals, records, and audit trails; support internal and external audits.
• Provide procurement advice, supplier-market intelligence, commercial insights, and recommendations.
• Support budgets and business planning with procurement forecasts, cost insights, and savings opportunities.
• Track procurement KPIs, including savings, supplier performance, sourcing cycle times, and compliance.
• Improve procurement processes, supplier management, controls, and ways of working.
• Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Membership of CIPS, CIPSMN, or an equivalent recognised professional body is an added advantage.
• Six to 13 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or commercial negotiation.
• Experience with end-to-end sourcing, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Experience with vendor management, cost optimisation, contract administration, and supplier performance management.
• Experience in telecommunications, fintech, financial services, or technology is an added advantage.
