EFL Logistics Limited is recruiting a Operation Manager in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Role overview
Oversee safe and cost-effective terminal operations across gate, yard, barge and export activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Lead gate, yard, quayside/barge and export stuffing activities, including workforce and equipment planning.
- Maintain safe working practices, HSE compliance and approved operating procedures.
- Monitor container inventory accuracy, yard capacity, truck turnaround and operational KPIs.
- Oversee Terminal Operating System records, EDI transmissions and management reports.
- Manage shipping-line and customer relationships and coordinate equipment maintenance.
- Improve operational processes and costs, lead teams and deputise for the General Manager when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related studies.
- Eight to ten years’ relevant terminal, port, inland container depot or logistics experience.
- At least three years in a supervisory or management role.
- Knowledge of TOS, EDI, container inventory control and HSE requirements.
- Strong leadership, planning, cost management and problem-solving skills; professional certification is an advantage.
