An undisclosed confectionery business is hiring a Marketing & Growth Manager (Offline Marketing & Partnerships) in Lagos, through West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE).

Role overview

Grow revenue by acquiring corporate accounts, expanding offline sales channels and securing lasting partnerships with event professionals, retailers and supermarkets, including businesses in Gbagada and nearby areas.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and convert corporate buyers for gifting, staff celebrations, client events and recurring confectionery orders.
• Develop commercial proposals, engage decision-makers, negotiate terms and maintain a pipeline of repeat business.
• Build referral partnerships with event planners, wedding vendors, caterers, venues and other event-sector partners.
• Identify suitable supermarkets and retail outlets, agree product placement and supply terms, and coordinate fulfilment with operations.
• Plan offline marketing activations, sampling, exhibitions, networking and cross-promotions to produce qualified leads and sales.
• Set and monitor partnership, acquisition and revenue targets, including leads, meetings, proposals, conversions and repeat orders.
• Report channel performance and recommend improvements in collaboration with the owner and operations team.

Requirements

• Four to six years’ experience in marketing, partnerships, sales, business development or a related commercial field.
• Proven record of winning B2B partnerships or corporate accounts and generating measurable revenue.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, relationship management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to prepare proposals, close agreements and manage prospects using spreadsheets or CRM tools.
• Independent working style, sound commercial judgement and ability to deliver in a growing business.
• Experience in food and beverage, confectionery, FMCG, hospitality, retail or events is an advantage, as are relevant existing industry contacts and distribution partnerships.

Compensation

Base salary of ₦500,000 monthly, plus performance-based commission.
