Operations & Maintenance Technician (Electrical) at Wärtsilä – Kogi
Wärtsilä is recruiting a full-time Electrical Operations and Maintenance Technician in Kogi to support shift operations, diesel engine troubleshooting and plant maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Carry out shift-based plant operations and planned or emergency electrical maintenance.
- Troubleshoot four-stroke diesel engine electrical systems and auxiliaries, using electrical measurement equipment.
- Monitor engine parameters, trends, vibration and temperature readings, and maintain operating and maintenance logs.
- Start and synchronise local and remote engines, perform routine checks and help protect equipment from faults.
- Follow lock-out/tag-out and all safety, environmental and maintenance instructions; support spare parts and tools readiness.
- Document work time, resources, changes, rework and deferred maintenance in relevant systems, including Maximo where applicable.
Requirements
- BSc qualification.
- Knowledge of diesel engine electrical systems, auxiliaries, measuring instruments and preventive maintenance.
- Understanding of engine fuels, fluids and air systems, safety rules and maintenance reporting.
