Pharmaceutical Supply Chain & Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) at IDYHA – Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

IDYHA is recruiting a Pharmaceutical Supply Chain and Operations Subject Matter Expert on a contract basis in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. The assignment centres on operational assessments, process improvement, team training and measurable supply chain results.

Supply chain and operations advisory

• Assess pharmaceutical procurement, warehousing, stock management, distribution and logistics processes.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements to cost, productivity and reliability.
• Improve demand forecasts, inventory levels and controls that help prevent stock shortages and waste.
• Develop policies, standard operating procedures, process guides, KPIs and monitoring frameworks.
• Support pharmaceutical quality, safe handling, storage, distribution and regulatory compliance.
• Identify risks affecting product quality, supply continuity and inventory, and recommend corrective action.

Implementation and capability development

• Deliver workshops, training materials and practical coaching to improve workforce capability.
• Work with managers and frontline teams to turn assessments into implementable plans.
• Measure process and staff-performance improvements and submit progress and assessment reports.
• Keep stakeholders informed about relevant industry practices and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Fifteen to twenty years’ relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, with deep supply-chain and operations expertise.
• Proven record of process assessments, regulatory and quality management, operational improvement and staff development.
• Excellent analysis, root-cause problem-solving, communication, training, reporting and change-management skills.
• Professional registration, certification or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
