Process Optimizer at BIC Nigeria – Sagamu

BIC Nigeria is recruiting a Process Optimizer in Sagamu, Ogun State, to improve moulding efficiency, production quality and output while reducing waste and downtime.

Responsibilities

• Analyse moulding operations to identify bottlenecks, defects and opportunities for improvement.
• Adjust machine settings, including temperature, pressure, injection and cooling cycles, to improve quality and productivity.
• Track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle times, scrap, downtime and production throughput.
• Investigate defects and equipment failures, establish root causes and implement corrective measures.
• Reduce raw material losses and work with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Support new-product launches, process validation and production readiness assessments.
• Identify appropriate automation opportunities and collaborate with Quality Assurance on product standards.
• Coach operators and technicians in process improvements and maintain performance reporting for the Moulding Team Lead.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Polymer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Three to five years’ experience in moulding, manufacturing process improvement or production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding and experience improving manufacturing efficiency.
• Experience with automated production equipment, root-cause analysis and corrective action methods.
• Familiarity with autonomous maintenance, quality management and continuous improvement processes.
• Ability to interpret production information, solve technical problems and work confidently in Microsoft Excel.

Performance measures

• Higher OEE and production throughput with less downtime and rework.
• Reduced scrap, material consumption, waste and cycle times.
• Documented cost savings, punctual production and adherence to quality and safety requirements.
