Project Director at Cosgrove Investment Limited – Abuja

Cosgrove Investment Limited is recruiting a Project Director in Abuja to lead major construction and real estate developments from planning through completion and handover.

Responsibilities and leadership expectations

• Direct large-scale construction programmes, coordinating planning, execution, quality and timely delivery.
• Provide strategic oversight of budgets, cost management, project risks and construction operations.
• Lead project managers, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Maintain appropriate construction standards, health, safety and environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage senior stakeholders, make sound decisions and negotiate project outcomes.
• Ensure projects meet agreed scope, schedules and approved budgets, with clear accountability.

Qualifications and experience

• BSc or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Fifteen to twenty years of experience in construction, real estate development or infrastructure project management, including substantial senior leadership responsibilities.
• Evidence of taking major construction projects through to completion and handover.
• Strong skills in project strategy, budgeting, cost control, quality assurance, risk management and operations.
• Demonstrated ability to direct project teams and engage partners and stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of construction standards, HSE and regulatory compliance.
• Relevant professional certifications and membership of recognised professional bodies are an advantage.
• Integrity, accountability and consistent delivery against project commitments.
