Project Officer at an Undisclosed Consultancy via BA Gladiators – Abuja

An undisclosed project management consultancy is recruiting a full-time Project Officer in Abuja through BA Gladiators Limited. The officer will support the Project Manager with planning, cost tracking, site progress, document control and reporting across oil and gas, pipeline, building and infrastructure projects.

Planning, controls and reporting

• Support project execution plans, work breakdown structures, milestone schedules and project tracking templates.
• Maintain cost trackers, expenditure data, purchase orders, invoices and budget variance information.
• Update project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6 and record daily or weekly site progress, delays and milestones.
• Maintain risk, issue and action registers, meeting minutes, project correspondence and client reports.
• Coordinate inspection records, quality documentation, transmittals, drawings, approvals and project close-out files.

Coordination and delivery support

• Follow up with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers on resources, equipment and deliveries.
• Track manpower and equipment use and keep stakeholders informed across engineering, procurement, construction, finance and management.
• Record HSE meeting information and track safety corrective actions to completion.
• Support consultancy assignments through research, data gathering and project reporting across different industries.

Requirements

• B.Eng or B.Sc in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Three to five years’ experience in project controls, site engineering or project delivery support in oil and gas, pipelines, buildings or infrastructure.
• Ability to demonstrate contributions to completed or ongoing projects.
• Exposure to multiple sectors and certification such as CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation or COREN graduate registration are advantages.
• Strong initiative, organisation, problem-solving skills, adaptability and confidence working in a lean team.
