Project Site Engineer (QAQC – Civil / Structural, Electrical) at an Undisclosed Student Housing Company – Benue

A student housing construction and operations business is recruiting a Project Site Engineer for quality assurance and control of civil, structural and electrical building works in Benue State.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QA/QC activities and coordinate civil, structural and electrical construction work.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, project requirements and execution plans.
• Conduct site assessments, technical surveys and evaluations and monitor site preparation and trenching activities.
• Check compliance with quality, health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain progress reports, inspection records and technical documentation.
• Resolve technical issues with project teams and oversee contractors, costs and resource use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering in the relevant specialism.
• Four to six years’ practical construction engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of construction QA/QC and multidisciplinary site supervision.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and coordinate project contractors.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements, engineering practice and project documentation.
• COREN registration or a relevant professional certification is compulsory.
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office capability is an advantage.
