Senior Accountant at an Oil and Gas Servicing Company via Ankorpointe – Lagos
An established oil and gas and marine servicing company is recruiting a Senior Accountant in Lagos through Ankorpointe Integrated Limited. The role leads financial reporting, accounting controls, reconciliation and statutory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee accounting records, the general ledger and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage payables, receivables, bank reconciliations and unresolved balances.
- Monitor cash flow, financial transactions and expenditure.
- Coordinate tax filings, statutory deductions and regulatory compliance.
- Support budgeting, financial plans, cost control and audit work.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and promote adherence to accounting standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Mandatory ICAN or ACCA qualification.
- Five to eight years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in oil and gas or a related services industry.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax legislation, statutory requirements and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, reporting, reconciliation and organisational skills.
