Senior Network Engineer at Fort Knox Outsourcing – Abuja

Fort Knox Outsourcing is recruiting a Senior Network Engineer in Abuja to design, deploy and maintain reliable enterprise network infrastructure. The role is in the Engineering Department at Senior Executive grade.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN and IP/MPLS infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on support for BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, VPN, DMVPN, SDN, QoS, VRRP/HSRP and VoIP technologies.
• Investigate outages, performance issues and complex connectivity problems.
• Configure VLANs, spanning tree, EtherChannel, trunking, port security, IPSec and GRE tunnels.
• Support IP/MPLS services through implementation, testing, deployment and handover.
• Carry out proactive and corrective maintenance and design core, access, metro and edge routing topologies.
• Build automation tools to improve network operations.
• Support cloud, security, SD-WAN, IoT, data and other technology initiatives.
• Provide technical help across teams and participate in on-call duties and travel when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Seven to ten years’ experience managing and troubleshooting IP networks.
• Strong grounding in protocols, network operating systems, structured cabling and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate and Bluecoat technologies.
• CCNA, CCNP or other relevant professional certifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take ownership of scalable enterprise networking solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Salary

• ₦900,000 net per month.
