Senior Quality Assurance Officer at Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited – Ikeja, Lagos

Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited is recruiting a Senior Quality Assurance Officer in Ikeja, Lagos. The role oversees quality management across production and operational activities, ensuring materials, processes and finished products meet internal specifications, regulatory requirements and applicable quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and enforce standard operating procedures, quality manuals and quality-control policies across operations.
• Supervise inspections of raw materials, in-process activities, laboratory testing where relevant, and finished products to minimise defects and wastage.
• Lead internal quality audits, coordinate external inspections and support compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality obligations.
• Investigate non-conformances, defects and customer complaints; determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Train and supervise junior QA/QC personnel and production teams on quality procedures and regulatory expectations.
• Maintain reliable inspection records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports and performance dashboards.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in a science-related discipline, Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Engineering or a related field.
• Three to six years of hands-on experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals or a comparable operational environment in Lagos.
• Understanding of NAFDAC, Standards Organisation of Nigeria and applicable ISO or GMP requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, technical documentation, reporting and supervisory ability.
• Training or certification in ISO standards, GMP, HSE or Six Sigma is an advantage.

Remuneration

₦200,000–₦250,000 per month.
