Accountant at Charitos BO Hospital – Life Camp, Abuja

Charitos BO Hospital is recruiting an Accountant in Life Camp, Abuja, to provide senior-level financial advice and oversee budgeting, reporting, internal controls and finance administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate financial planning, operating and capital budgets, procurement and investment processes with department heads.
• Monitor approved expenditure and operating results, advise management on financial performance and prepare monthly management accounts.
• Manage payroll, withholding-tax records, statutory returns and evidence of tax and levy payments.
• Strengthen accounting policies, financial controls, fraud prevention and custody of assets and records.
• Review inter-company ledgers and accounts, reconcile bank balances and correct or escalate discrepancies.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, prepare monthly savings reports and support operational improvements.
• Liaise with external auditors on annual audited accounts and develop and supervise finance team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; an MBA is an advantage.
• At least five years’ experience working as a Senior Accounts Officer in a reputable medium or large organisation.
• ACA associate membership or comparable professional accountancy certification.
• Strong treasury, investment, reporting, financial analysis, controls, leadership and fraud-detection skills.
• Ability to advise management, manage employees and communicate financial matters clearly.
